YEEE-AW, the rewatch is on at last! It seems perfect that I'm resuming during the first scenes featuring Eric Doyle the Puppetmaster, because before I started the tape I finally got around to watching "Nowhere Man", the Doyle-centric webisode series, and let me tell you, it is awesome. It's pretty much what I want webisodes to be (and they never have been before, though I haven't watched "The Recruit"). Well-written, well-acted by David Lawrence the 17th and Brian Kimmet as everyone's favorite asshat Copy Kingdom boss, now back to terrorize the trying-to-be-good-now Doyle at a new job. My love for David 17 is well-documented, and "Nowhere Man" gives me no reason to doubt my adoration. Also, he seems a hell of a nice guy. Thanks, Twitter!
I hope that non-US fans get a chance to watch that web series, as it is very much worth it.
The last couple of webcomics, though, have sucked a lot. There's no damn reason why only one out of every ten or so webcomics don't suck; it's not that hard to write and draw a good 6-page comic story, is it? Almost every single piece on Dark Horse's "MySpace Presents" series has been at least good, and most of them are excellent. What the eff, NBC and Helix Comics; why do they suck so bad? I'm a fan and a comics fan; I should be lapping this up. Maybe I've just been in editorial too long, but I'm glad now that DH wasn't in charge of collecting and releasing the Heroes webcomics; I wouldn't want my company to have to release such crap with their logo on it. It's all yours, Wildstorm.
So now that I've insulted rival comics companies... time to watch the show.
