Moyashimon Live Action and Boys Before Flowers
OMG!!! A live action version of Moyashimon has been slated to be aired in July. I really hope they didn't cut Kei's character. That would be extremely sad...
I just finished watching Boys Before Flowers, the Korean live action version of Hana Yori Dango. I like the setting, costumes, and most of the actors better than the HYD version. However, I did like Inoue Mao better than Koo Hye Sun. In BBF, Ji Hoo's and Jan Di's relationship was too played out. While Joon Pyo's and Jan Di's relationship didn't have enough convincing interaction to lay down the base for a strong relationship. Because of both of those reasons, I just couldn't understand why Jan Di didn't fall for Ji Hoo. The fact that Ji Hoo was said to be her "soul mate" while Joon Pyo was said to be her "future husband" makes me believe even more that she technically should have ended up with Ji Hoo. The only reason why I cheered for Joon Pyo was that I knew he had to end up with Jan Di since BBF is based on HYD. The contest between Joon Pyo and Ji Hoo was a bit irritating since it seemed to support Ji Hoo/Jan Di more than Joon Pyo/Jan Di.
Yi Jeung(Kim Bum) is just so ADORABLE!!! I just LOVE Yi Jeung's and Ga Eul's relationship. The Sojirou and Yuki version from HYD wasn't as good. Their essential storyline is the same but I don't like the slightly obsessive/stalkerish Yuki. I really wish they would expand and maybe even create a spin-off based on the two of them. Although, I'm really happy that they were able to create short "5 years later" videos on YouTube. Of course, Yi Jeong's is my favorite.
