On the journey, Daiki spend his time looking at the stunning landscapes, trying to ignore the fact that he was with his boss and that he had spent last night in the latter’s bed. Even sitting beside him, not even touching, he was overwhelmed by the feelings that his boss managed to arouse.
Finally they arrived at a beautiful white villa over-looking the shores of a huge bay.
“Welcome to Kahului Bay,” Takaki said “And to what used to be my mother’s house.”
Daiki’s eyes widen. “Who lives here now?”
“No one permanently,” Takaki admitted. “Since Mother came back to Japan, it’s been kept for any family member to use. I suppose you’d call it a holiday villa.”
A holiday villa! That had to be the understatement of the year. Who could afford to keep a villa like this and not use it?
“Is anyone else staying here at the moment?”
Takaki shook his head. “There is staff, of course, so we won’t be completely alone.”
Keeping it staffed when no one was using it sounded like an alarming waste of money. Daiki couldn’t help but wonder wheter Takaki had bought his other PAs here, the one’s he’d sacked on their return to Japan. Did Takaki use it as a love nest? Had Daiki been sucked in by the latter’s kindness? Was he right to be nervous?
Daiki couldn’t deny that the villa was enchanting. It looked like a fairy tale castle, nestling into the hillside above the lake. But even so it didn’t make him feel any better about spending two days entirely alone with Takaki, despite his assurance that whatever they did was up to Daiki.
And it didn’t help him when they were greeted by Takaki’s army of employees, who looked at him as though he’s someone very special. Too polite to do anything other than smile, he was relieved when they melted away after Takaki had introduced him.
“They think that you and I are an item.” Daiki whispered. “I could see it in their eyes.”
“You’re right. They probably are imagining that you’re special since I have brought no one else here. But it’s of no consequence. Don’t let it worry you.”
At least Takaki assured him.
“Would you like me to show you around? Or perhaps you’re tired and would prefer to rest?” Takaki asked.
Resting sounded good, except that he would have felt safer in a hotel. If safer was the right word. Safe from what? From whom? Himself or Takaki? He was afraid that he had been thrown in the deep end. That this was not going to be the recreational break he has expected. For one reason because they were to going to be totally alone, and another because he was seeing Takaki in an entirely different way.
His feeling were running dangerously high. He felt awareness that scared hum. He wanted to feel Takaki’s arms around him, to feel the hard pulsing strength of him. Despite his misgivings, he wanted Takaki to make love to him again. How could that be?
“I’m a little tired.” Daiki agreed. “This is all so new and so..” He struggled to find the right words to say what was in his mind.
“Exciting?” Takaki suggested, an eyebrow lifting, his body very still as he waited for Daiki’s reply.
Takaki was right, but perhaps not in the way Daiki thought. What would Takaki say if he knew how intense Daiki’s emotions were? That Daiki’s actually would welcome him holding him, maybe even kissing him, maybe even making love to him again? It’s beyond sanity. He had never wanted anyone to touch him like this, now he’s craving for it. One taste and he was hooked.
He drew in a deep breath. “Different.”
It hardly described his feelings, or maybe it did. Maybe it was the exact word. Every cell in his body was different. No longer calm and in control. They’re dancing all over the place, hot and hungry for this handsome man.
It was strange that he’s thinking of Takaki now as more than a boss. Had Takaki truly changed or was it all in his mind? Was it this place?
“You never expected to find yourself here?” Takaki questioned, his soft smile suggesting that he knew exactly how Daiki’s feeling.
“It’s a shame that you don’t want to stay longer. But perhaps after a couple of days spent in this beautiful part of Hawaii you’ll change your mind? You’ll allow me to…”
Daiki didn’t let Takaki to finish what he’s saying. “No! I must go home Takaki.” Even saying the word home brought back the fears that Daiki awaited there. He couldn’t afford to let himself be distracted by Takaki.
Something had happened to him here in Hawaii, something he dared not to think about, something that needed to be crushed. There’s no room in his life for romance, or whatever name he cared to put on what’s happening to him now. No room at all.
“Daiki…”
Quiete how it happened he was not sure, but the second he was being held against the rock-hardness of Takaki’s chest, his head pressed into his boss’s shoulder, one strong, warm hand stroking his hair.
Takaki couldn’t bear to see Daiki so agitated. He wanted to soothe away the fear he had seen in the latter’s eyes. Was it really because Daiki was worried about leaving his mother, or did it go much deeper? Something to with his father? Perhaps nightmares about him? Perhaps Daikiwas fearful that if he stayed too long he would give himself away in the middle of the night? Or was it being alone with him that he was afraid of.
Takaki continued to murmur Daiki’s name and smooth the latter’s hair against his name until he felt Daiki’s tension easing.
“No one is going to force you to stay against your will. Whenever you want to leave, I’ll take you.”
Daiki lifted his face to Takaki’s, and when Takaki saw tears in Daiki’s lovely, beautiful eyes, he couldn’t help himself. All his good intentions failed. This was a wounded person and he wanted him to make him better. His hand slid round to cup Daiki’s chin and at the same time his mouth came down on Daiki’s.
What started as a gentle, reassuring kiss soon turned into something else. Into something fast and furious. Daiki’s lips parted on a sigh that suggested secret desire, and when Takaki deepened the kiss, when he felt Daiki’s response, when the latter kissed him back, he knew he couldn’t resist.
Togethr they went upstairs their mouths still clinging, and in Takaki’s room, he began to slowly undress Daiki. In actual fact he would have liked to rip Daiki’s clothes off and make love to him straight away, but he knew that to do so might make the latter’s fearful to him. And he didn’t want that. Daiki had been fearful to his father, once in a lifetime was enough to fear a person. He needed to be gentle.
As each inch of fleshed was exposed, Takaki feathered it with kisses and listened to Daiki’s quiet moans of ecstasy. Daiki tasted good, his perfume made Takaki even headier with desire. He would never have dreamed that his once prim PA could be so sensual, so sexy, so alluring.
Daiki was aware of nothing except the fact that Takaki’s kisses, his touch, his energy, totally consumed him. They made love slowly and beautifully, over and over again. They didn’t surface, didn’t even stop to eat. Food was the last thing on their minds. He had entered a world where nothing else mattered except the senses.
The touch of Takaki’s hand on Daiki’s body, this excitement when Takaki found that some parts of Daiki was more responsive than others. The taste of Takaki’s skin when Daiki kissed him, when Daiki’s lips dared to explore places that he had never let himself even think about before. The clean male smell when Takaki’s body was so close to him that they became one. The sight of Takaki when he had made love to him, his face both soft and raw at the same time, so different from the normally controlled man who had always scared him to death. And the sounds the both made when they were no longer in command of their bodies, grunts and groans, cries and shouts.
Daiki knew that he would re-enter the real world soon, but he didn’t want to think about that. He was enjoying this new found sexual liberation too much. That he didn’t want it ever to end.
