Summary: Yabu wants Hikaru to be his, but how can that happen when the younger boy is in love with another man?
‘What a cute person’ That’s the first impression of Yabu Kota to Yaotome Hikaru. With his sagged cheeks and lovely personality, Yabu wanted this amazing person to be his friend.
“Ohayou,” Yabu smiled brightly when he approached the kid who was sitting on a corner with an awkward stare.
“Ohayou, sempai” Hikaru replied politely, knowing that this person is his senior, though from the start he was already attracted to him because of his amazing talent and the smile that makes his heart beat rapidly.
“No, don’t call me sempai just call me by my name.” Yabu pouted not liking how this cute person is calling him.
“Yabu-kun?” Hikaru felt his heart beat faster than before because of the action his sempai is doing.
“Uhm… what about you call me Kou-chan and I call you Hika-chan. Is that okay?” Yabu is eager to make this person his close friend.
“I don’t know, sempai. I’m just new here so it would be awkward if I call you without respect and…” Before Hikaru can finish his sentence, Yabu silenced him by putting his finger on Hikaru’s lips.
“Shh, it’s fine. We’re gonna be the best of friends okay? Let’s go,” Yabu pulled Hikaru to the stage together because the director is already asking for them.

“Minna, I would like to introduce to every one of you Hika-chan, my new friend!” Yabu introduced Hikaru to the other Ya-Ya-Yah members.
“Yeah, we know it already, Yabu. You practically shouted it in the corridor,” Shoon replied, getting annoyed with Yabu’s high voice. “Yoroshiku, Yaotome-kun,” he then looked at Hikaru and offered his hand for a hand shake.
“I will call you Hika-chan!” Ayukawa Taiyo the tallest of them suddenly declared, shocking the other members.
Akama then whacked him. “Don’t shock us like that, BAKA!!”
Hikaru just stared at them, not knowing what to do.
“NO!!! You’re not allowed to call him like that! I’m the only one who can call him Hika-chan,” Yabu suddenly hugged Hikaru and Hikaru just let himself be hugged because Yabu’s smell is so intoxicating.
“Oh please stop your childish acts, everyone,” Hoshino who is the oldest of them interfered. “Yabu, don’t hug him too much. He might suffocate.” Yabu realized that Hoshino was right so he loosened his hug a bit. “By the way, I’m Masaki Hoshino, you can call me Hoshi, and I’m sorry about them,” Hoshino also shook his hands and patted Hikaru’s head.
“It’s okay. I can see that you have a very lively group,” Hikaru said feeling comfortable with everyone.
“Let’s go out and eat!” Taiyou invited and all of them went to Ya-Ya-yah’s favorite place.
‘I feel like I belong’ Hikaru thought as they’re walking, Yabu still clinging to him.

With each passing day, Yabu and Hikaru became closer; with Yabu practically clinging on Hikaru and Hikaru spoiling the older one.
After some months, Hoshino and Akama decided to quit JE, resulting to Hikaru being a part of Ya-Ya-yah. The two best friends were in bliss because after long time of convincing their boss, he finally put Hikaru in.
Ya-ya-yah became famous, no doubt about that, especially the two lead. Yabu and Hikaru got their own drama and they often lead in songs and performances in Shounen Club.
Yabu who was secretly falling for his best friend, his Hachibee, knows that his heart will only belong to him.
Unexpectedly, Hikaru fell in love, too. Yup, he fell deeply in love, but not with Yabu. Instead, he developed feelings for Inoo Kei, one of the pretty boys in JE, and he is determined to make that guy his.
“Kou-chan~” Hikaru poked Yabu who was sitting on his lap.
“Hai?” Yabu look at Hikaru’s face.
“I’m in love with Kei,” Hikaru said while pouting. Yabu suddenly stood up, shock etched all over his face. “Seriously, Hika-chan? Why?”
“What do you mean why? I feel my heart beat faster when he’s around. I want to touch his lips every time he pouts, I want to treasure and love him.” Hikaru’s words were full of love. He didn’t realize how much his words hurt his best friend.
Yabu’s heart shattered into pieces, he didn’t want to hear it anymore but he knew that the guy trusts him that’s why he is confessing his feelings for another to him.
“Hika-chan, you’re one of the best people I know and, for sure, Inoo-chan will like you. Why don’t you just confess to him?”
“Really? You think he will like me?” Hikaru ask his best friend.
“Don’t think about anything, just follow your heart, Hikaru,” Yabu then gave Hikaru a kiss on the forehead and then he went out of the room.
Unknown to him, Yabu is now crying his heart out while walking to the fire exit. Hikaru, on the other hand, is confused with his best friend’s behavior. He felt kind of hurt but he didn’t know why. He just went home and thought how he’ll confess to Kei.

“Yabu-kun?” Arioka Daiki, a J.J. Express member as well as Inoo Kei’s co member, approached Yabu who he saw head to the fire exit.
Yabu look at the door and saw his little junior walk to him.
“Arioka-kun? What are you doing here?” He tried to look presentable even though tears were still visible in his eyes.
“I saw you crying and then you entered here. I’m just concerned. Are you okay?” Daiki then sat beside Yabu, trying to comfort him.
“No, I’m fine,” Yabu tried to smile but miserably failed because tears kept on flowing from his eyes.
“Yabu-kun, you can tell me.” He then hugged Yabu.
“I… I… I love Hikaru b… b… but he loves Inoo” Yabu hugged Daiki back.
“Shh…” Daiki, being an innocent kid and not knowing what to do, just let Yabu lean on him.
“Ne, Arioka-kun, can you please keep this a secret?” Yabu asked Daiki after quite some time of him crying and Daiki listening to him.
“Of course, you can count on me!” Daiki replied, showing the most innocent smile Yabu have ever seen.
“Then, let’s go. I’ll treat you some ice cream,” Yabu said, letting his heart stay in a moment of calmness.
He can cry again when he’s already home. After all, he didn’t want this chubby penguin junior to become bothered.
