Close encounters of the celebrity kind...
I went to see the Anthony Hopkins/Ryan Gosling movie Fracture. On the way out, I ran into Tom Arnold (formerly Mr. Rosanne). He was just standing outside the exit door. I had met him years ago when he rode with the Krewe of Orpheus at Mardi Gras. He looked very thin. He was wearing a light blue warm-up jacket with a yellow tee shirt and baggy black jeans. I stopped and chatted with him. Of course he didn't remember me, but he was pretty cool. He's in NOLA for the After-School All-Stars conference. The program helps to provide after school enrichment programs for at-risk inner city kids.
