[Out in the forest somewhere, haphazardly sprawled across the recently fallen snow, is Tear. She is partly covered by her hair, but the cold and wet of the fallen precipitation on the ground below her rouses her not long after she was deposited. She sits up, disoriented, and looks around. [Today Tear is in luck, because tiny child with poofy hair is up in his tree house looking for something! He's climbing down the ladder when he suddenly notices something familiar.]

...Tear! [Screw this, jumping from the last four rungs or so and racing over to her.]

[She starts a bit when he name is shouted, pressing her journal shut by the spine to free her right hand, which promptly goes to her thigh and rests against her knives--]

...! [Until she sees Taichi running full-tilt toward her, at which point her expression goes slack in a sort of relieved stupor.]

[Raaaaawrrrrr Tear I hope you're ready for an arm-full of over-exuberant child because that's what you're going to get] Tear!

[We're down with that. Literally, actually, as she flopped to her knees to hug him back just as he reached her. Surrogate baby brother, we missed you so. ♥]

[Busy squeezing the life out of her boobs, okay?] You're back! Are you okay?

[For Tear being rather extremely lacking in open affection, she's being very touchy feely today. At least, she's hugging 'Chi to her boobs and petting his hair more than usual. She pulls away after a second and smiles at him, though it's a sort of perplexed and apologetic smile. She recoils one hand and presses her fingers to her throat, then mouths "I can't speak," to him. Still happy, though.]

[Taichi doesn't object to the hugging and the hair-petting, but he's not too pleased with the other news] Huh? Why not? [Taichi she can't explain because she can't talk, you goober.]

[mystearical]

[Oh good, he can read lips. Her smile quirks a little at the corners and she shrugs, shaking her head slightly. "Malnosso," she mouths.]

[He probably watches the TV on mute a lot because he's a weird kid.] Jerks. Everything else is okay?

[mystearical]

[Nods, slowly. "I'm tired, but unhurt." Aside from maybe a few bruises, and possibly.]

[Nods back.] We should probably get you back to the house then, Luke'll know what to do.

[mystearical]

[She nods again, closing her eyes and leaning forward in order to stand, but not before picking up her fallen journal. She was going to need a pen.]

I'll walk you back, I need to get home soon anyway. Does Luke know you're back? Maybe I should tell him anyway so he's not surprised. Or maybe we should surprise him, I dunno, it's almost close to Christmas anyway. Unless you're from one of the world's that doesn't celebrate it...

[Smiles. Good to see Taichi hadn't changed in her absence. Naturally, she stayed quiet, because he clearly wasn't going to pay attention long enough to explain that no, Auldrant did not celebrate "Christmas", in fact what was a Christmas, anyway?]

It's really weird that there are a lot of places that don't, but Raine says we still get a holiday break from school which is really nice. I'm going to make a huge snowfort with Daisuke and Yamato during break and throw snowballs at people!

...oh, you haven't met Daisuke, have you? [He's just glad you're back, Tear :<]

[And she's just smiling, kind of reveling in the familiarity of his excited chipmunk chattering. She turns to look at him with her eyebrows raised, shaking her head. No, she hadn't met Daisuke.]
