Either 6 was too early to wake up this morning OR...
When did it become ok to use non-sentences AS sentences in official documents and/or in advertising? Am I not post-modern enough because, email and internet writing aside, i expect a certain following of grammar rules? I mean, I know I have a very conversational tone when I'm writing, but I still want printed media to follow the rules! Maybe I just want to be different.
This morning on the BART (yes, again, but soon to drop out of my daily life - only 1 more day of BART commuting!) I saw an ipod meet bose ad (yes, again - it's a big campaign) that used a partial sentence as a sentence, as though no one would notice that there was no verb!
But then maybe there was no verb because really we're all supposed to stop moving forward and taking action. We're supposed to just sit there and let them bombard us with messages, not think, not question, not stop consuming.
Some days it's harder than others to be "normal," whatever that means.
