Obama is the next president. Will he change the fate of the United States as he claims he will? Or will he be assassinated before he even gets the chance? The future will be very interesting, and while I'm excited to see what happens, I worry that some of the narrow-minded idiots of this world will have it out for him.
Closer to home, I began my first NaNoWriMo. I am about 8,000 words in, but about 3,500 behind. I have a lot of catching up to do. I think the story itself is coming out ok, though I worry I'm rushing through the plot. I fear that I will be finished with the story halfway through the month at this pace. I need to slow things down and not give away too much, too fast. Wish me luck!
Lastly, David and I booked a cruise. We are going to the Western Carribbean come February. We need a real vacation to put things into perspective. I'm looking forward to it. We have a lot of fun excursions planned out including jungle zipline adventure, cave tubing, swimming with dolphins and snorkling. And who knows what else! I've been waiting for a tropical vacation for a while. Woot!
