Meeting of the parents
David's parents and my mom met today. David and I had them over for dinner. We made chicken and broccoli alfredo, garlic bread, butternut squash and my pineapple pie. I would have to say it went very well. Chris came over the other day to check out the apartment too. We have to get Cori and Ian and Kate over next.
The apartment looks good now that we have couches. That was a whole 'nuther story. First I get a call that they didn't have the set we picked in stock, even though the night before they said we did. So in addition to getting the taxes off, we got $50 off and took the display set. Then come the delivery guys. They couldn't get them through the front door. They couldn't get them through the back hallway. So they had to get the couches to the second floor and through the window. That was fun. I thought I was going to have a dead delivery guy or two on my hands. But there was a huge black guy who heaved it up to the skinny guy and all was well. Thank goodness. I'm glad that's over. When we leave though, the apartment comes with a couch and love seat because I'm not dealing with that on my own!
Anywho, I think I'm going to go munch on something. Bye!
