Hot town!
I saw Lois Lowry's lecture this evening at the Tennessee Theatre and it was, in a word, phenomenal. She's a fantastic and eloquent speaker and her manner is just warm enough to draw you in to her, but not so personal as to eventually distance you from her. I saw my sixth grade English teacher there. I'm now about a head and a half taller than she, but in sixth grade we were the same height. People-yardsticks? She's about the sixth teacher from Bearden who isn't there anymore. Droppin' like flies.
Laura and I returned to her house to find RACHEL MUELLER there in the driveway, which was a fantastic surprise. She said Cesar asked about me yesterday. The heart swells with middle school reminiscent joy!!
At any rate, it's time to go study for this European exam. In closing, Rachel Mueller is coming to Westock. I'm coming to Westock. In fact, I'll be at West High School tomorrow for something like thirteen hours. Yup.
