Maybe there's some in a chest, or something? I found some during that ... event with the things in the closets, and all that. It wasn't the same kind of money from my world, but the vendors took it anyway.

Are you going to need help getting 'confined' again?

I don't think most people just leave chests of money lying around. That was probably just the event.

I can manage it on my own, I've had some practise...

Er, by the way, I've been meaning to ask you... During that event when I attacked you, you used something on me that confined me. What was that?

I've seen magic before, but Marona was the only one I ever knew who could summon phantoms. Is it common in your world?

That's not what I meant, but I haven't seen many people do that, either. You confined me, but you didn't do it the same way Marona could.

Hmm... Well, you said you're a phantom, right? I thought the spells that worked against the undead could work against you, too. Ummm... if you were alive, that spell would have brought you back from being knocked out, or if you were really busted up.

But zombies have bodies, that's completely different. I've never seen a spell that could affect phantoms before. Or are phantoms different in your world?

Well, it works against ghosts too... I think. It's been a while since I had to fight any monsters.

I don't think we have anything like you in my world. Eidolons might be the closest it gets.

I guess your world's magic must be different from Ivoire's--not that I'm complaining.

Well, it's not like phantoms are anything special, they're just people who didn't want to pass on when they died.

Maybe it's just Wonderland's doing. A lot of strange things happen here, I shouldn't be able to confine myself on my own in the first place. Death doesn't work the same way here as it does in other worlds, so maybe I'm not really dead anymore.

It's kind of weird you're still dead, though. No offense. But a lot of people who've died before coming here have their bodies now, so why are you different?

Maybe there's a way to do that confining thing so it sticks around longer...

It could just be because I stuck around after I died and they didn't, but I have no idea why I'm still a phantom here. I feel kind of ripped off.

Being a phantom has its advantages, too. I'm just glad I can interact with this world at all. Don't worry about it, Eiko.
