From my system Information:
Pentium4CPU 2.4 Ghz
I GB RAM
ATI Radeon video card Location: PCI bus 1
Does this mean I can install a new PCI card? the motherboard specs mention both AGP and PCI slots so I'm a wee bit confused.
It's running win XP, is it worth the upgrade to the new vid card? any idea how long I *should* be able to function happily playing WoW? ( Barring computer crash)
Could I screw it up easily if I do it myself? Would any of you walk me through it?
I got some great recs but I think we were talking about the AGP slot at the time.
My other option is to find something for under a thousand and cry as I spend it. I've always gotten the best available at the time and made it work for a long time, this would be a change in that.
What about laptops? I've looked at a few with dedicated graphics cards, most are more than I am willing to spend but there are a few. What are the drawbacks? The HD are generally in the 350 range, vid cards 512 except for the ASUS which has a 1 gig Nvidia
The laptops list clock speeds similar to what I have, does that mean that dual core has TWO processors at this speed? I've considered a small HP at best buy, an ASUS at best buy and two Asus from tiger direct. I like best buy's new coverage , but is it worth it to buy from them?
Sigh, choices choices.
Would I be better off having someone build me a new computer to my specs? would it be cost effective?
Indulge a silly girl, please.
