But life had other plans for me. First, this respiratory mess is still really knocking me down, and I seem to have an allergy to something in the building at work. I'm hoping ( like in the ER) that if I am not sick to begin with the singulair will take care of the allergy. I had a HOT day at Grants first ball game yesterday, YAY he won!!! WE came home to Nickel with a baby squirrel in his mouth. A live baby squirrel. He is a very soft mouthed retriever, and after receiving the squirrel gift, found it was indeed alive and basically unharmed. Oh and Soooo cute. I have been an animal rescue worker but not when I had kids and lots of pets. I knew I had to get this guy to someone before the whole house fell in love with him. None of us need a baby on a 2 hour feeding schedule right now. So my evening was spent contacting a squirrel rescue lady and driving Georgie ( yes the kids already named him) to her house. I came home and collapsed. SIGH I'm sorry I missed the hotness that is burlesque, but I HAVE to be in top notch shape for this job and rest and fluids are clearly paramount.
Oh he was just too cute, tiny little hands that grabbed onto my big old hand and held on for dear life all the while rooting in my palm for a teat to suckle. He looked good and healthy, if a bit slobbery, and I think he will do just fine. Maybe when the kids are older we can do a bit of rescue work, but not now.
