It has recently been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting my duties at the library. This has more to do with the fact that I was not aware I had a job at all than a desire to get myself fired.

The library in this town can only be described as dismal. A word here which means, seemingly lacking in any material that would be useful to ( Read more... )

Cracknobbed? I must confess, I have never heard that expression before.

Oh, it means...confused. Delusional. We used it at home in Tortall, mainly in Lower City Corus....which you've probably never heard of.

Ah, no. I can not say I have. A very interesting word though. I shall have to record it in my commonplace book.

It's certainly different. I think it came from a long time ago...

What's a commonplace book?

It's a book I carry around with me. I use it to write down interesting facts, words, newspaper articles that I come across.

The one I was last using was taken from me when I arrived here but I have recently started a new one.

[There's a bit of silence- Daine didn't realize they could take tattoos, as well.]

They really took your tattoo?

Yes they did. Again, I am not quite certain as to how they managed to accomplish that.

When I arrived here it was gone, much like my other belongings.

That's odd. I didn't know they could take things from our bodies as well.

ooc: I must say, talking with Lemony reminds me of when I used to put a sharpie "tattoo" eye on my ankle and walk around and show everyone. XD;

Yes, it seemed an odd thing to do as well. It is hardley as though a tatoo would be of use of anyone, unless of course for identification and even then, the meaning of symbols has a way of changing when you least expect it.

:) I did that too. VFD=best organization ever
