It has recently been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting my duties at the library. This has more to do with the fact that I was not aware I had a job at all than a desire to get myself fired.

I've read quite a bit of material in the library, and unfortunately I haven't found anything useful either. Quite a bit of romance novels, though. Good lord, what a waste of trees.

Yes, they are rather usless. The few I've managed to find about libraries are interesting but do nothing to aid my search for other books.

The histories are particularly bland. Very whitewashed and 'pleasant'. 'This is such a lovely place, Mayfield.' That sort of thing.

I wandered rather far into the stacks one afternoon and found two or three completely blank books.

Well at the very least they are "pleasant". Though I'm sure then they do not relay the truth. The truth is rarely pleasant.

Yeah. Several books, titles on spines but nothing on the pages. Maybe they ran out of bullshit--excuse my colourful metaphor--to put in them. Or they're yet to be written.

Bland things. Titles they've used before. 'Biology and You'. 'How to Make Five Hundred Things with Popsicle Sticks', like that.
