New semester, new TA team, new grey house

1.  Busy as always, but with early out on Friday.  Done at NOON!!!!!

2.  26 undergrads each teaching one section.  They survived their first incounter with their students with only minor messses - usually from students who have great angst over having options rather than One True Way.

3.  I thought it would be blue, but that was the _other_ contractor's bid.  The house is now  a lovely dove-grey with the original narrow clapbord style and added insulation.  This weekend I'm going to move plants around and get some new ones so that I have lots of green, blue, purple, and red to set off that green. The yellows will have to find a new home somewhere.  I am, however, kicking myself that we didn't get the garage done at the same time. Oh well.

4.  Off to sleep, I have to be back at school in 7 hours.

5.  I can't get the "Dahrien and the Bed" song out of my head...  It has been running non-stop at different speeds for 3 days.  I even adapted one of the verses.  The original reads, "The length and the width of the footprint he knew, the hight of the corner poles he'd measured too.  The problem that plagued him and would not relent, was the 10 degree angle of the sides of the tent."  Now in my head it goes: "The length and the width of the footprint he knew, the hight of the corner poles he'd measured too.  One thing he neglected, one thing he forgot: the tent walls were slanted, that headboard was not."  I like the new version better, I think.  It lends itself to more possibilities for interpretive dance, too..... (See "the Bardicd Hydra Show" and its craziness."
