People and their stupidity.

Aug 03, 2006 00:38

I find that people in the world are increasingly more ignorant.

Online, people can't be arsed to even type full words let alone complete sentances.

In real life, people assume that you should worship them just because they have stuff or have a 9-to-5 job.

And then there are the idiots that raise people up to god-dom just because they are great singers, have great bodies, have lots of money, etc.

People, listen to me:

Type, speak, and in general express your self with decent English. I'm not saying that you should type proper English. You don't need to stop the occasional online usuals of replacing you with u and are with r.

However, if you are writing an insult to someone or trying to defend your point of veiw, full words and sentances will convey more than random words that are congregating and being mistaken for words. And lose the swear words. Saying the f word multiple times will not make the person you are talking to suddenly go "Hey! You're right! Thank you for showing me the err of my ways!" Instead they will laugh and mock you for being retarded.

Now for the 9-to-5-ers, SHUT UP.

Seriously, while you are out enjoying the true meaning of weekend, do NOT tell the customer service people who have to work all weekend to "have a nice weekend". It's like waving a slice of pizza in front of a homeless person and telling them to enjoy there none-exsistant dinner. Please remember: we do have feelings too.

And also, as much as you'd wish it, we ARE NOT PSYCHIC. Do not waltz up and ask vaguly for something and then fail to give a description of the item you are searching for.

Example: We sell two sizes of crickets at work as food for retiles, amphibians, and other critters. 95% of my customers come up and simple ask for crickets. They fail to tell me what size, how many, whether they need to be dusted of not, etc. It's alright once ina while, but every day it's the same thing.

And to those who raise idols as gods, you need to just shut up. No one cares if you think that actor or that singer or that rock group are considered gods amoung the populace. They are ordinary people who happen to be able to attract attention for their talents. Big whoop. What about the hard working individuals that actually do important work? Police officers, fire fighters, airline piolets, cashiers?

Forty Hour Week (For a Livin') by Alabama:
There are people in this country
Who work hard every day
Not for fame or fortune
Do they strive

But the fruits of their labor
Are worth more than their pay
And it's time a few of them
Were recognized

Hello, Detroit auto worker
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a living
Just to send it on down the line

Hello, Pittsburgh steel mill worker
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a living
Just to send it on down the line

This is for the one
Who swings the hammer
Driving home the nail
Or the one behind the counter
Ringing up the sales

Or the one who fights the fires
The one who brings the mail
For everyone who works
Behind the scenes

You can see them every morning
In the factories and the fields
In the city streets
And the quiet country towns

Working together
Like spokes inside a wheel
They keep this country
Turning around

Hello, Kansas wheat field farmer
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a living
Just to send it on down the line

Hello, West Virginia coal miner
Let me thank you for your time
You work a forty hour week for a living
Just to send it on down the line

This is for the one
Who drives the big rig
Up and down the road
Or the one out in the warehouse
Bringing in the load

Or the waitress, the mechanic
The policeman on patrol
For everyone who works
Behind the scenes
With a spirit you can't
Replace with no machine

Hello, America
Let me thank you for your time

They are people. Not gods. Gods should be left to religion.

So, learn to speak online in full complete sentances, think of others, and stop makes gods out of "pretty people" who make more money then the people who actually deserve it.

And for the heck of it:

The World by Brad Paisley

To the teller down at the bank
You're just another checking account
To the plumber that came today
You're just another house
At the airport ticket counter
You're just another fare
At the beauty shop at the mall
Well you're just another head of hair
Well that's alright, that's ok
If you don't feel important, honey
All I've got to say is

(Chorus:)
To the world
You may be just another girl
But to me
Baby, you are the world

To the waiter at the restaurant
You're just another tip
To the guy at the ice cream shop
You're just another dip
When you can't get reservations
'Cause you don't have the clout
Or you didn't get an invitation
'Cause somebody left you out
That's alright, that's ok
When you don't feel important honey
All I've got to say is

(Chorus)

You think you're one of millions but you're one in a million to me
When you wonder if you matter, baby look into my eyes
And tell me, can't you see you're everything to me

That's alright, that's ok
When you don't feel important honey
All I've gotta say is

(Chorus)

It's a feel good song ^_^
