I've come to realize something both after playing Kingdom Hearts for 3 days while I was at home and after seeing Sleeping Beauty twice tonight on Disney. Maleficent is and shall always be the most evil of all.
Case in point, she appears to be the ring leader of the villians in Kingdom Hearts. How else could she grant the power to control the Heartless to someone (who shall remain nameless for those who haven't played) if she didn't have the power to do so herself? She's manipulative and follows through with her threats. Look at Sleeping Beauty: "Before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger on a spindal and die." It took 16 years to track her down, be she did and, just before the sun set, she convinced Aroura with her Jedi-esque ability (as seen also in Kingdom Hearts) to touch the green glowing spindal. In Kingdom Hearts, she had completely warped the thinking of the obligatory silver haired megalomanica that her powers alone knew how to restore lost hearts.
A villianess who can harness the powers of Hell to smite all who oppose her, and she was done in in Sleeping Beauty because three meddling good fairies and a prince who was smitten with a princess.
Really, I'm not evil, but the final blow by the prince only landed because of Flora's spell.
And is it really fair for her to face the Keyblade Master? Ok, so I didn't get to get that fair. I need a PS2 and a copy of the game and then I can go after her. Mwahaha.
Anyway, it's just something I noticed and thought I'd point out.
