Looonngggg Day
Had to get up at 5:45 this morning and be at work at 7. Joshua & I were the only ones there and we had to train a French guy and girl. I'm beginning to get used to training someone almost everytime I work. I hated it at first but now I use them as assistants and I don't have to do as much! Haha. Worked all damn day, then went around town a little while and didn't get home until 10 or so. We're having people over for the 4th tomorrow and so Mom wanted me to make a cake..lol. Well, I found this recipe called "Angel Lush" that I thought sounded good, but we had a couple of detours! First of all, I was too busy talking to Andy and I overmixed the batter for the angel food cake, which made the cake OVERFLOW the bunt pan and dripped in the oven. Sooo we went to Ingle's to get another cake mix..came home, tried again. The cake looked beautiful..UNTIL we tried to take it out of the pan, and the pan said NONSTICK!..ha yeah right...it stuck. The cake didn't look pretty anymore and on top of that, it was soo damn hard to cut into three layers! Finally I had it looking semi-decent, and now it is in the refrigerator. I tasted the mix that went between the layers and it was pretty good so maybe looks don't count. I'll just tell everybody to close their eyes and eat it. I guess no matter how hard I try..I SUCK at baking, lol. Everyone in my neighborhood is shooting fireworks right now and it's scaring the kitty, aww. Well I guess I shall go now :).
