(no subject)
I am incredibly annoyed. I was carrying my laptop from my bedroom into the lounge room when the cord caught on this stupid chest thing in the (very narrow) hallway, and the laptop went flying out of my hands. And now it won't even start. grr. I had heaps of fanfic on it, but at least all my work data is on my work computer, and backed up on my iPod. Stil. I'm really annoyed. I didn't want to pay for a new computer just now, but it seems like I have no choice, otherwise I won't have a computer at home, and that just won't do, especially since I'm getting harrassed by the IT department for using too much internet time at work as it is. Lets hope the computer man can fix it tomorrow *crosses fingers*
On a better note, I actually had a decent talk to one of the other PhD students in my lab - who is so moody you have to pick the right day to approach her otherwise you get your head bitten off - and as a result I may have something to do for the next couple of weeks that may be useful to my PhD, and is not relatively difficult.
