popped my party cherry
so after one and a half years of being at ucsb, never had i gone out to iv (to non-sb-ers that's isla vista, the small town next door to ucsb aka the place where all the parties happen) i FINALLY came out of the safety of my room and went out friday and saturday night. haha this makes me sound so lame... hey, at least i finally came out of my bubble! anyway, erin's two friends from high school stayed the weekend and of course they were here for the ucsb party experience so that's what we did! (i mean, who would come here for anything other than partying? to visit friends? naw... haha jk, i'm just being "discreet")
friday night wasn't too exciting... we just did way too much walking for only ending up at one party. i guess the whole process with this partying stuff is to either walk around the whole damn town until you hear the loud music, follow the crowds, call random "friends" and ask where the party's at, or just ask a drunk person on the street where they're going/coming from... and finally, hope that it's not a private party or that the party isn't being shut down yet. so the one house we went to had a homemade stripper pole that erin and i were all over... haha NOT! you wish... lol... just trying to make my story more exciting than it really was.
saturday night was a little more eventful. still a lot of walking, but there were more people walking around, more parties going on. there were a few live bands at some houses, but they weren't my cup of tea and not exactly dancing music either so we moved on. we finally ended up at one house where it was some guy's birthday (which we only found out because he drunkenly came up to us a few times to let us know)... it was some kind of hawaiian highlighter party so some of the girls AND guys were in bikini tops and covered in highlighter marks. yes, i did dance (surprising huh?) and yes, i made sure to dance with only erin and our friends... drunk guys aren't to appealing to dance with anyway haha jk! we did some bowling afterwards and stayed up until 7 because erin's friends had to go back early anyway. there's more to this story, but i'll save you from the details :)
and yet another weekend with not much sleep... oh well. at least i finally experienced an iv weekend, although i have a feeling that this weekend was pretty tame compared to others. sorry i don't have any stories about me or anyone else getting crazy drunk... i'll do it when i'm with justin so that he can be the only one to take advantage of me haha KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
