Pretty awesome stuff!
In the past few days I found out there is a whole other side of my family. When my grandfather was in WW2 he went to Puerto Rico and either had an affair with this woman or just knocked her up. I already had a half-aunt, now I have a totally different half-uncle. He was born in Puerto Rico and lived in Camden, NJ... which was maybe an hour away from where I used to live. What I can't understand is why my straight up Italian-Catholic side "kicked us out" of the family when my mom got a divorce, but it was okay for my grandfather to have three different children with three different women. The guy who contacted me wants to know if my mom will go for a DNA test which he'll pay for. I don't think he needs to since he contacted me with my papa's full Italian name, which almost no one knows. I'm finding this all really interesting.
