I recently finished reading the entire comic series Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore. Now, I’m not really a comic book kind of person, but I absolutely loved this series

So really I have no idea what this is, but I do like your casting ideas. Eliza's gonna be in Dollhouse, so I'd say she's out but I'd kill to see Katee Sackhoff in something new now that BSG is going away. DAMN IT.

...you should really watch her in that.

Yeah, in making my "ideal cast," I chose not to worry about who was actually available, or whether or not someone's ever been on a TV show before. I am definitely excited about Dollhouse and hope it stays on the air for a while, so in that way, Eliza isn't ideal, but I still think she'd make a great Katchoo.

You should definitely check out SiP if you can! I highly recommend it! The whole series is available in a collection of 6 volumes ("pocket books"), and I was able to find them at Borders.

And I would definitely like to see BSG at some point. I've sort of theoretically meant to rent the DVDs, because it seems like a show I'd like, but I haven't had time.

I just finished reading SIP a few months ago and I have to say - nice choices for casting. Of course since I’m a Popular whore I really like the idea of Sara and Leslie - can we fit in Mary Cherry somewhere?? What about as one of Darcy’s girls :-) I would also like to nominate Aubrey Dollar for any role (just cause I want to see her in something else). I have to say - you’ve never seen Xena?? You should check it out, its such good, campy fun!

Yay, someone else who's read them! LOL Mary Cherry as one of Darcy's girls would be fantastic! And hmmm, Aubrey Dollar...who could she be? (I recently caught up on WMC episodes, and I agree that more Aubrey Dollar could only be a good thing -- and as a side note, I have a bit of an idea for a WMC-SiP crossover fic) But anyway, maybe Aubrey could be Sara the FBI agent? Or Cherry Hammer! That would be hot.

And I know, I should check out Xena, shouldn't I? So much TV to watch, so little time!

I've definitely heard of Y: The Last Man, but haven't read it. It does sound really cool, though!

I love the idea of Katee Sackhoff as Katchoo! I've never read Strangers in Paradise, but she seems like the perfect fit for that character. I'm not sure Sarah Michelle Gellar works as well; sure, she was Buffy, but Katchoo seems a bit more badass. XD.

Melanie Lynskey as Francine is perfect, too.

Now you've got me all intrigued about this series!!

Yeah, from what I've heard about Katee Sackhoff, she seems pretty perfect for the part! And Sarah Michelle Gellar is my least favorite choice of the ones I mentioned, but I thought I'd still include her anyway. I really need to get my hands on some BSG episodes, so I can see for myself what Katee's all about.

Now you've got me all intrigued about this series!!
