Great times, Good time in life
This weekend has been great. After spending some quality alone time at my empty house, I came to many realizations as to what I want in life. It became a reassurance of who I am. It came at a good time, because I almost lost sight of that.
After my alone night, I went over to my Aunts for a family party. It was great seeing everyone and getting back to my roots. That also provided some self-assurance. After that I went and spent the night with some really great friends from back home. We had a blast and one of my friends and I had this amazing conversation for at least an hour and a half. Him and I really connected on a lot of stuff.
I left the next morning, came home and caught up on sleep. Much needed sleep. At about 8pm I woke up and made a decision to randomly go back to Grand Valley. It was time, I had acheived everything I wanted to this weekend, and I had no further obligations.
Then last night I was at Campus West. Most of the night, nearly all, I was with Dave, Tim, and Beamer. We talked music and smoked cigarettes for hours and hours. Then at random intervals, Dave and Beamer would pick up their guitars and play. Purely amazing. Even though they were drunk, it was amazing. When some slutty girls came in the apartment and started their OAR dance party us 4 went upstairs into Tim's room. Dave and Beamer played joelean and other great songs. Then we all sat together and watched a Beatle'e recording session on Tim's computer. Dave had his arms around Beamer and I's shoulder and we just felt the music. It was amazing. These people are truely great people, and I'm honored to be in their presence.
