#189. Go ahead, read my mind.

Read my mind.

Alas. It’s not possible. Ask some of the world's telepaths. None of them have been able to do so. I find it quite amusing. Moving right under their noses and they have no clue what I am up to. What I have done. Sometimes, not even who I am. Isn't that right, little Ice Queen? I expected more from Shaw's former lover but I infiltrated your merry X-Men as Foxx and you were none the wiser.

Jean Grey never would have made that mistake.

[Locked to Jean]Except of course you did as well but shhh, she does not need to know that.[unlocked]

Pitiful, Emma. Simply pitiful.

[Private]

I threw my son off a cliff and I laughed. Joining in on the fervor of the mob. Doing as they wanted so that I could survive. Dropping his tiny form over the cliff to the raging river below. In order to save myself. I did not speak to him, not aloud but my inner thoughts were racing with words. Wishing I could convey them to the boy I was willing to sacrifice.

I cannot regret it. He lived. As did I. I knew I could not die that night. I had a destiny to fulfill and this was merely a test to see if I would have the strength to accomplish it. I showed that I did.

That is all that matters.
