Midnight This Saturday 6/6: DJs Liebchen, DuJour and Valdyr!
It's all the ladies this Saturday! Hee!
Red This Ever (http://redthisever.net) put on a kick-ass show last Saturday, and many thanks to everyone who came out to see them! This week we're back to an all-DJ format, with Liebchen, DuJour, and guest DJ Valdyr spinning. You'll also want to check out our vendor, Zizuph, and The Meeting Place's new drink deals. In addition, we're holding a CD release party for Third Realm...
THIS SATURDAY'S MUSIC
From opening at 9:00 p.m. until close at 2:45 a.m., our request-friendly DJs will be spinning highly danceable sets of the best gothic, industrial, synthpop, and EBM music. The lineup includes Midnight residents Liebchen, who's also a member of the band XUBERX (www.myspace.com/xuberxnoise), and DuJour (check out her Internet radio station, www.live365.com/stations/djdujour), plus guest DJ Valdyr, the head of Radio-Active-Music.com, one of the scene's finest new record labels.
We're also hosting a CD promo party for one of RAM's latest signatory artists, Third Realm (www.myspace.com/thirdrealm). "Darkwave atmospheres, industrial beats and electronic sequences" typify its music; and it achieved international recognition for its first two full-length releases. The third, "Love Is the Devil," came out just days ago. We'll be playing several tracks from it during the course of the evening, and we'll have some giveaways from them as well.
ZIZUPH WILL VEND
Over in the vendors corner you'll find Zizuph Handcrafted Gifts (www.myspace.com/zizuphome), which always brings us a fine selection of seasonal creations--soaps, bath salts, perfume and anointing oils, etc. Don't miss the opportunity to stock up on Meredith's high-quality merchandise!
NEW DRINK DEALS FOR JUNE
Our 21-and-over guests will definitely want to familiarize themselves with The Meeting Place's new drink specials for the month of June. From 9:00 to 10:00 the bar staff will be pouring two-for-one drinks. Then, from 11:00 p.m. until last call, you can order a Bud Light for $2.50, all Coronas and rail drinks (think generics--i.e., rum and Coke) for $4.00, or Captain and Cokes for $5.00. (All prices cited are + tax.) Of course, the house specialty, "black death shooters," will go for just $2.00. (Please don't overimbibe and drive.)

* ENTER THE DRAWING -- When you arrive, fill out one of the drawing slips on our literature table and place it in the nearby cauldron. You could win new CDs from Red This Ever, Life in Sodom, and Third Realm, or a certificate good for $10.00 worth of free food.
* CAKE & OTHER EDIBLES -- The Meeting Place's kitchen is open until 1:00 a.m. on Saturdays; and if you want dessert, don't forget the free cake we serve shortly after the witching hour. * ADMISSION DISCOUNTS -- Our usual low $5.00 cover is the rule, but there are exceptions. The first dozen guests in the door on Saturday never pay a cover charge, nor does the winner of our weekly "Question of the Week" contest. And if you have a 2009 high school (must be 18) or college (includes faculty) ID, show it at our cash table for a $2.00 discount.
