Pretty pictures

Today I realized that yes, I am supposed to be writing responses to all those chapters of my Teaching Exceptional Children textbook that I have not read. So I put some handouts I've gotten into my notebook and made a pretty cover for it to make myself feel better for now. That's about how school is going right now. I'm so over being in school. I am ready for my degree.

This weekend was fun though. It was fall break, so I left for home around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday night/Thursday morning after Jeff and I saw a 10:00 showing of Man of the Year. He made dinner for me that night, and I invited Kelly and Mike over at the last minute because I saw Kelly earlier that day. It was fun.

I went to the eye doctor and the doctor on Thursday, which wasn't as fun, but I got to see Morgan that night, so that was a happy reunion. We had pizza from my brother's restaurant and watched movies and such. Friday I actually did work, miracle of all miracles, and that night I hung out with my parents, playing a card game and watching a movie. Saturday Jeff came up. We practiced the piano, stopped back by the eye doctor to get new lenses and have a quick check up. I have lots of samples of contacts now because I'm trying to find something that won't dry out my eyes so easily. Not having a lot of luck so far, but at least I have free contacts. We got more buy one get one free cookie by the slice, which was just as soft and good as last time. We also went to the dollar movie again and saw Bardyard. It was funny and sad. I paid for the whole date, but as it was only about $4, I guess that's not so bad. I bought a mini-sudoku game at the dollar store, which was cool, except I haven't quite figured out if it makes any sense. Anyway, the woman there was like, "Somebody likes the Wizard of Oz" when I pulled out my Wizard of Oz wallet from my Wizard of Oz purse. (In a really bored tone.) That was not nice. That night we went to this fall festival thing at my church to get some free barbecue. We also watched Walk the Line with my family. We went to church on Sunday. The pastor who was the pastor before the one who just left was preaching that day, so I got to see him. I came home that night.

Well, that was poorly written and incoherent, but I felt the sudden urge to post a quick update, as I haven't updated in a while, and sometimes you just get urges. But I did want it to be quick, as I am trying this new thing where I am actually productive, God willing.
