Ireth’s (mis)adventures have only just started this year. It's a whole new experience for her as this Christmas we have four new additions to our family (Suzy and 3 of her kittens). This will be everyone's first Christmas together and we can't wait. The kittens have investigated Ireth and I'm sure she's made her own investigations regarding them.
I've read a lot about other Elf on the Shelf elves playing pranks on the kids, but I would think that goes against the head Elf's wishes. Elves should be setting the example for nice not an example of how to end up on Santa's naughty list.
So Ireth seems to be bucking the trend. She every night she returns to the North Pole to give Santa her report on the kids' behaviour. And surprisingly, the kids have been pretty good thus far, though the younger two need work on getting to bed without all that noise.
Ireth has been a good Elf as twice thus far she's done something helpful. The first time, she returned and fed our fish (the kids found her next to the fish bowl still holding the fish food).
And this last time, she helped put up stockings.
know it may seem a bit early, but with the kittens, we're trying to introduce Christmas temptations slowly)
We're hoping Ireth continues to be ever so helpful. I'm hoping she'll help with the Christmas tree as that's next on my to-do list. And I'm also hoping that the kittens won't be inclined to climb the tree as they do everything else (maybe Ireth can help with that as well).
