Today was not one of my favourite days..Sundays are never good as my mum feels the need to constantly remind me that unless I go to church I shall burn in hell. Starting my day off with such nonsense does nothing to improve my humour. Pain + condemnation = me not a happy camper. Thank the stars for Kev though. He set me in a right mood. ^__^ mmmm...then again I was in a good mood when I headed off to bed at 02.00. (yes, I was up late due to the fact I had taken a 3 hour nap earlier in the evening).
Anyway, to the point of this entry...Kev sent me some postcards last week and he was starting to worry that I wouldn't get them. (A foolish worry on his part.) I only check my mail once a week, so I was fairly certain when he asked Friday that it was sitting in my mailbox at the post office. (I used to check daily, then every other day, but I don't get much mail so I went to once a week). My dear M-I-L was kind enough to swing by the post office on the way to drop the monkeys back home and allow Illyana to pick up the mail. And sure enough, along with my Martha Stewart Living magazine were the postcards. There was one of Big Ben and the other, I'll show you below. ^_^ (both front and back)
Those cards really did much to brighten my day even further. Though they are quite a bit larger than the typical postcards I've been used to collecting (mind you, I've none of the cards I collected myself due to the fact I actually mailed them to people recently). If he takes any more trips and deigns to buy any more cards, I shall buy a nice scrapbook to keep them in. But in the meantime, I shall just tuck them away in my photo album.
^__^ One final note. Kev's handwriting is by far and large more legible than my own. Don't understand what he was going on about. It's quite lovely penmanship.
