"It has seven levels."

You ever notice how whenever you open a door all the dogs inside rush out and all the dogs outside rush inside? There's this compulsion to get whatever you haven't got. I guess it's true that you're never happy with what you've got.
I worked on my English project after school yesterday with Adrienna and Britney. We were having giggling fits, trying to come up with '80's dialogue for Romeo and Juliet. When Adrienna's dad came for her, we asked him about the '80's and he said "it was all about trying to get the democrats out of the white house, really." Adrienna looked weary for a second.
"Dad, please, don't go off on that again." I just laughed and showed him my Kerry pin. When were waiting for our parents on the sidewalk later, Britney and I started talking about our lives, etc. Britney suddenly blurted out, "I hate my family." I did a double take You have to understand that Britney is this conservatively dressed, quiet, good kid who you'd expect to love her family. She says they get mad at her all the time for getting C's on daily grades, weird stuff like that, and that when she was 11 she tried to run away while her parents were napping but she only got across the street and didn't know where to go. She walked back home crying and her parents told her to quiet down because they were tyring to sleep. Wow. That's terrible.
I know my mom is going to read this and say, "and you think WE'RE bad," but in the first place no I don't, I just find them strict and in the second place just because someone else is worse than you doesn't give you an excuse to be however bad you are.
Learning about the middle east in Geography. I think it's funny that all the Muslims, Jewish people, and Christians are fighting a religious war when they all believe basically the same thing. "God sent US here!" "No he wanted US to be here!" Well maybe that's because he thought you'd be happy there because everyone believing in monotheism with a prophet and the whole be nice thing is meeting there. Mrs. Bittner suggested that god might be confused. That would explain a lot.
