book fairies

I hate not liking the books. Every time I realize I don’t like a book, I feel like there is a tiny book fairy dying somewhere. And I feel guilty because of that, as if it is my fault that whoever wrote the books that I couldn’t appreciate properly didn’t do it the right way.
It doesn’t happen too often - maybe because I am very thorough in choosing ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry for a late response :P But you're right, I have these thoughts too - I am writing as well, and it doesn't seem fair that books that are not worth wasting my time on get published all the time when some decent writers (not myself, just other ppl who deserve it more) don't have a chance :P

This book was more annoying than depressing, to be honest. Half the time I wanted to smack this girl and tell her to stop blaming everyone. So, someone started a rumor about her. So, someone believed it. It's not the end of the world! Anyone with a bit of commoms sense would just ignore it and move on. No one was bullying or abusing her. Talked behind her back - yeah. But that was it for the most part :P

Yeah, I hated HS, and I'm sorry to hear about your not so pleasant experience. I have no idea how it is supposed to help us. The only thing it taught me was that I'm not good enough for most of things I want in life. If I was forced to go back in time, I'd chain myself to something O.o

*waves back* :)) We should do it more ofter :) Sorry again for not being around for a couple of days to reply sooner :)

I am certain that we should be getting compensations for emotional damage caused by the high school experience -____- I loved both college and uni, but before that *shudders as well*

I guess so :) We're forced to be in HS and proving that we're better than the others is some sort of a stupid survival rule. People normally go to college and uni because they want to, because they want to develop and grow. And proving something to the others doesn't matter anymore. Plus, college/uni people are deifnitely more mature, they are under less pressure, which is also a good thing

I would like to get a trip to Hawaii or something :)) Would be a nice compensation :)

I really wish there was any other way to look at it sometimes :S It is just really scary how many lives are damaged during these years, and there is no way out :P
