Also, since tags have been activated since I was last paying attention:
I will be continuing to sort fic and art in the memories by Author/Artist, Pairing/Gen, Main Character, and Challenge. But because sometimes that adds up to more than five sometimes stuff will be left out, so tags are enabled as well. To ensure unity of tagging, we're going to be all hardcore and have a tagging policy.
Tagging Policy
1. Tagging is compulsory, but there are no consequences for forgetting to tag. (Like, maybe a dirty look or something.) I do ask that people use already-existing tags unless no appropriate tag exists - for example, it's fine to create a Quelt tag, but it's better to stick to our existing Tom/Carl tag than to add a TomXCarl tag. If in doubt, tag, and I'll try to check tags regularly.
2. Tag your post with each of the following, or as many as apply:
- either FIC, ART, DISCUSSION or COMMUNITY. This is the most important tag, and every post should be tagged with one of these.
- genre of the work: GEN, HET, or SLASH (includes fslash).
- main characters' FIRST NAME ONLY eg NITA, ROSHAUN not Nita Callahan or Roshaun Ke'Nelaid. If your character has multiple personalities, tag as many as seems fit; for example, writing about Macchu Picchu you could tag as PEACH or WINGED DEFENDER or both. NOTE: If you are writing a crossover that doesn't feature a character from DD's books, don't use this tag.
- pairing tag, eg NITA/LONE POWER or TOM/CARL. Please check before you add a pairing tag.
- miscellaneous tags like AU, CHALLENGE or CROSSOVER may also apply; use discretion. :)
Any other suggestions welcome.
