Wanted: Beta for Tom/Carl novel
As this community has undoubtedly noticed, I have been working on a fanfic for quite some time and I am 90% through with it (epilogue still in progress). I currently have non_canon as a beta and I'm very grateful for that but we've decided we could use some outside help. We're both very busy with school and the like so another pair of eyes and a fresh perspective would be wonderful!
Make no mistake though, this is a fan novel... or at least that's how I see it. What's 175 pages with roughly 50,000 words? And it's not even November!
No, this has taken me a very long time to write and I want to see it perfected before I share it with everyone.
So does anyone feel up to the challenge?
(Keep in mind this is Tom/Carl so if you in any way feel squicky about slash then this probably isn't for you. There are NO sex scenes however so no reason to worry about that...)
And what do I want from a beta? Everything! I'm usually ok with spelling and grammar but what I would really like a beta to do is to search for plot holes. Did I say something earlier in the story and not follow through with it? etc. etc. And does everything make sense? That's very important. I use a lot of concepts and ideas in this novel so...yeah.
Please let me know right away if you think you can take on this task!
(Also please let me know if you've betaed before. It's not a requirement because I don't mind teaching betaing skills, but it's best to be forthcoming about this...)
