Call-me-Mike Pallas! JOHNNY AND THE SENIORS. MOTHERBOARD. All those nice little cameos, *plus* they're all recognizable. I can see this Nita, I can see this Kit, Dairine and her fifty books are perfectly her, and Carmela laughing them all along to stardom. YES.
Also, man, I desperately want Strange Journeys. I also really want Lie Whole, and you did a great job with the media portions. *grabby hands at Myriad*
AND AND AND. The collaboration between Roshaun and Dairine, which will be on her next solo album! And then *more* rumors.
In summary, I love this story and I am still obsessive over the Lone One. Even a human version. *facepalms*

the Roshaun/Dairine collaboration will SO be on her next solo album - which will be more of a series of Dairine's collaborations with other musicians. And it'll be called "Alien Mall-Crawling Fiasco."
I APPROVE OF THIS OBSESSION. It probably does, too.

One day I really will write up reviews for Lone One's albums. (And my shippy, shippy self will add in a snippet of Nita reading the reviews and getting to "Ananda" and going a little red, because she does know who that's dedicated to.)

Which is impressive, because it's the week before exams and I am so swamped that I am procrastinating EPICALLY.

I love the "Reconfiguration" song shout-out, and its hit status--did you know that I actually found the original poem that piece had to have been based off of in an old library school library book of Irish poetry? I like DD's version better, but it was still gorgeous and squeeful to read. Wish I could pick it up again... but I find myself consumed by AU-band speculations. Do they have a band mascot? A dog, perhaps? A parrot? A pig? Does Dairine have a whole flock of music-related computer programs named after everything under the sun that she laughingly calls her kids? Do they ever get close to a black kid with autism named Darryl? ARGH. THE INSPIRATION. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED.
...call-me-Mike Pallas, the music teacher
I C WAT U DID THAR. *reduced to lolcat by glee*

Reconfiguration had to be a hit. I mean, it was universal. :P Ooh, which poem do you mean, though?
Hmm, speculation. I don't know if they have a mascot! Ponch is definitely around, at least for awhile; I'm not sure about Peach, since we have Mike. Hm. Because this is a world without wizardry, Chao would have to appear in another way, I think - I kind of want to make him the gossip columnist. He's everywhere, and knows everything about everyone! Well, I think it's hilarious, anyway. ;) Dairine absolutely has those music programmes! GIGO was her very first, written while she was still in high school - he does little more than layer one or two sounds over each other, but he'll always be special to her. Darryl is actually one of the few characters I'm really not sure how to fit in.
I can't lie: call-me-Mike is maybe my favourite cameo.
