Suspension and Deletion Update:
It looks like there is a specific group targeting Livejournal people and their communities, combing through LJ to 'out' predators and other pervs. However they are not a legit group with any sort of legal background nor are they accurate in some of their 'teachings', which are on their website (that I've skimmed in disgust). They must have a lot of time on their hands to turn their greedy eyes on LJ and cause LJ to delete and suspend groups that have pieces that are fictional in nature and are geared to those who can appreciate it as it was meant to be appreciated, as art.
Secondly, it looks like Pornish was suspended due to the fact that it had 'incest' in it's interests. Now, because of this predator catching nut house, four years of a variety of extremely well written fiction has been deleted and will no longer be available to those who wish to read it, as well as now preventing author's their tool of self-expression. Just because an author has a certain squick listed in it's warnings for a fic, does NOT mean they condone or promote it. Inspiration comes at a high price for some, and not being able to write as we please and share our insights with others of similar minds disturbs me as well as infuriates me.
Sadly, it does not look like certain types of fic will be allowed back at all to any sort of fiction community without endangering the rest of the authors and their works. And that, my friends, is the biggest blow of all.
