it is to be widely noted that, seemingly, summer has become the season where we learn the most about ourselves. not to conclude that this time of year is the only that motivates deep thought and introspection about self and its nature, it just seems that we become more self-aware now. we discover our patterns, our consistencies (and inconsistencies), the ways in which we are predictable and the rest is a hopeless vacuum.
what exactly is it that does this? not that i think about it, the notion is a little disheartening. to think...summer, for some endless freedom, an open planner in which to invite hedonism, warped sleeping patterns, and general lethargy, and for others bound to the work force, heralds such highly fruitful exploration. maybe i'm just speaking for myself here, but something tells me i'm not.
there's nothing particularly unique about summer aside from the freedom, and given free time most of us tend not to sit around thinking.
i feel like i've just learned so much about myself over the past two months. (sorry all you non-seniors. you guys got shafted.) it's not like i tried to search for the random pearls of knowledge hanging inches above my face; i just sort of came about them by tripping and flying forward a bit.
this entry really had absolutely no purpose, and i admit that. i'm wondering if anyone else is caught in the same whirlwind vortex phenomena, so as to affirm that i'm not completely insane.
