On the Sunday evening Mark's former wife Rose and his son Luke came for dinner. It was lovely to see Rose, as it must be about 10 years since we last met. It was good to hear about her family and how they are getting on. I'm really impressed that Mark, Rose and Lindy can be friendly; it's not always that easy to do, although the marriage was defunct a long time before Mark and Lindy met.
On Monday morning Mark took me to Kitset Kitchens. Their showroom was very impressive, and we spent a long time looking at all the exhibits and photographing them. The photos have proved to be invaluable since I came home. After I had more or less decided what I wanted, we waited while they drew up a quote. I brought home some samples of possible door and bench finishes for Les to look at.
This combination was one that I found appealing, other than the multi-coloured tiles.
I also liked this, but the panelled doors would be more expensive, and more work to keep clean.
This in antique white also appealed,
and this.
