It almost makes me feel downright podunk to be "stuck" here in Utah the last several years, after looking at this map. I guess I'm going to have to plan a trip sometime. Maybe I can take Pipes with me. She apparently hasn't traveled much of the country... she's "just" been to Russia. ;-)
A few of these states were cut-throughs. Many I actually stopped in long enough to sample some of the culture, the food, and the people. And I actually lived in a pretty good number of them, over the course of my life, with my father and myself both having served in the military. I wish I could diagram my path from one part of the US, to another, to another. And annotate three years in Japan, somewhere along the way.
