Woot! Night Watch / Nochnoi Dozor is the biggest thing to come out of Russian cinema since Alexander Nevsky. Yes, it's a horror/fantasy-action flick, so it may not be for some of you, but others of you will doubtless be as juiced as I am. I'd heard about this movie before, since it was released a year and a half ago in Russia, but then it dropped off my radar. I even forgot its name. My pal, the_pangolin, just posted about it and I'm excited to say it'll be coming out in the USA within the next few weeks.
Better yet, because they are trying to get some serious play by word of mouth, they are offering free, advance screenings of Night Watch at theaters across the nation. Jump in, and RSVP ASAP, then spread the word.
