Was not so good. I woke up to my day off with a fuzzy head and a sore throat. Not to worry, it was my day off. I didn't really get time to myself until late afternoon, when I decided I had too much to do to just relax. So I went errand-running. Bad, bad bad bad bad plan.
The lady at the grocery store yelled at me for not having my license. Which made me mad because I had it, I just had to dig through my purse for it, it wasn't like I did it on purpose.
So I went to Walmart, where the return lady was grumpy as all hell that I had 10 returns - so not my fault that everyone bought my son the same damn gloworm and the same keys. Which was even MORE irritating because she looked at me like I stole it all and she had the manager come and ask me how I got that many in front of the whole line, like I was a thief. So, they gave me a gift card. Which I used to buy air filters and some more groceries. The whole time trying not to either a)cry or b)ask for the head manager and give them a piece of my mind.
So I go to Target, where I have even MORE returns, and they say, Sorry, we can't take any of this back without a receipt. Tough cookies. You are stuck with doubles and diapers you can't use. At this point I am crying, out of sheer hopelessness for the day, and I want to go home. So I pick up dinner and go home. I eat two bites of my steak because it was so bloody I thought I'd be sick (after ordering it medium well, I think I got my first rare steak ever). So I decide to just get a shower.
I get into the shower, and turn it on. And I am in the mediocre warm water for about 30 seconds before it turns ICY, because our water heater was once again broken. So, mean people, sick, hungry, and now sopping wet and freezing. I proceeded to kick the door out of anger as I left the bathroom, which was not good. Now on top of everything I have a sore toe.
It was at this point I just gave into it and started bawling on the couch. Luckily, as this was happening, MIke fixed the water heater, and Kate talked to me on
FB which made the world much, much better. By 8 I finally had hot water and I stayed in the shower for a good 45 minutes.
And my baby was sweet last night after Mike went to bed. Wanting to hang out and snuggle.
I spent the rest of the night up because I was still too jittery to go to bed, I ended up being awake til 4:30. But there you have it. It's over now I guess.
