Mead experiment
Well, despite my back issues of late, I managed to get a test batch started (thanks to my handsome husband!) and put in the carboy last night. Would have had it started Sunday night, but the yeast that I had wouldn't bloom. :p
So here's my first experiment - instead of the usual cinnamon sticks that I put in my mead, I decided to try mulling spices instead. Since it was a bit potent (whew!) after sitting overnight, I diluted the mixture by about half and then added the yeast. We will see in a few months how that turns out..
