(no subject)
Well, my 6-month followup for the biopsy was on Monday afternoon. That was a tedious wait in the doctor's office to start with, since they apparently schedule those for the end of the day only. My appointment was for 4:30; I didn't see her until almost 5:15. The 'pinch' felt more like a 'grab a handful' and I know that the poor nurse probably thought she would have her hands full distracting me. Hard to distract someone who has their nether bits being poked with what feels like a verra sharp needle. :p All in all, after that, things went pretty fast; I managed to get out of the doctor's office just prior to 6 pm.
However, the car ride home was UTTER fucking hell. I got home ok - but then I BAWLED my eyes out. I don't think I've hurt like that before. EVER. I think I freaked out my poor Raven, but he was a sweetheart and helped me with things so I could sit down and not move for the rest of the evening.
Yesterday was still rough, and today has been up and down. And all this, just for the damned biopsy. *sigh* I should know results in a week or so. Wish me luck. The doctor said that the abnormal area didn't look any better - in fact, she thought it looked a bit worse. If the results hold true with that, then I'll need to go in a for a loops(?) procedure so they can remove the cancerous tissues with what basically amounts to a live wire.
