Herbs

Call me crazy, but I ordered 7 seed sets from www.victoryseeds.com yesterday. I already have Thyme, Sage, Oregano and Onion Chives growing in the kitchen window. Then, I found the STEVIA seeds that I bought 2 yrs ago and never planted. Hopefully a few of them will sprout. Put them in a CARDBOARD egg carton about 20 minutes ago. By the way, ALWAYS buy your eggs in those cardboard things as opposed to the Styrofoam. They make great starters for seedlings AND if you fill them w/ wax and dryer lint, sawdust, . . . make great fire starters too. I usually brew up about 10 dozen fire starters, give away 5 dozen, and use the rest around here. 1 "egg" will burn for about 15 minutes which is more than enough time to start a camp fire.

I was looking at that Chia Herb garden crap, and then thought. . . hmmm. for 1/2 the price, I could get twice the goods from Victory. These being the same people that I got my heirloom corn from earlier this year. (that failed terribly because of the drought and my in-ability to water it when needed) I will more than likely order more heirloom corn from them. Basically, if you get Heirloom anything, you can keep growing it YEAR after YEAR for free from the offspring. As opposed to that CRAP you find at (insert mass media mega store here).
