Ike, etc
Things at work have slowed down drastically in the last month. We have all had to take scheduling cuts. I am currently working 3 days a week, which means a 30 hr wk instead of a 40. 25% pay cut. Hope this doesn't last too long.
Hurricane Ike hit Texas on Sat. Don't know all of the details yet, but looks possibly worse then Katrina and New Orleans. Gas prices SPIKED from $3.64 to $4.19 over night. Now $4.19 is standard and $4.39 is at some of the local stations. That sux. Hopefully short lived.
Solid rain all weekend, as a result of the Hurricane. Flooding, BUT we did need some water here. The ground has been WAY to dry this summer. Garden didn't do well at all.
Paid house taxes on Thurs, Roy's house too. While there, took pictures of Chief Tipsico's head dress. Pretty cool.
Cooked a LARGE VAT of Chili on Sat. Now I have 2 gallons in little frozen containers which will last me till Christmas.
Talked Rochelle thru installation of EVERNOTE and Xdrive yesterday. THAT was fun. Complete with static phones and all.
Well, off to work now. Hopefully things will improve there.
