Old Friends
Still fighting a lingering case of the flu, but less so each day.
Hotter than Hell last week, now unseasonably cool, which I prefer. Garden likes it too.
AT&T guys had to do some wire search on my property, and promptly got one of their trucks stuck in the yard. How you can get stuck this time of year, I don't know, but they did. Went out there, grabbed a chain & pulled 'em out. Then I hear "Are you D?" Turns out to be a business neighbor & friend from Ebys, 1977. Lost track when he went in the service. Next day, in Taylor's, run into P Kinney. Last saw him about 1986, It was good to see old friends, if only for a few minutes.
Work is OK, but not amazing. Still, just having a job in this state is a feat. Hope my brother lands something soon.
