My condolences. Grandparents, ne? I lost mine in these past couple of years too. I'll never be over my grandmother. I don't think my grandpa was much over it, since he died not too long after she did.
Yes, my grandparents. He's been in the nursing home for five years. She went in three years ago. I think, as myrafur said, he was just waiting for her. I know it's not uncommon.
Never uncommon with those couples who have been together as long as our grandparents. Seems like those days are drying up; values have changed. My grandparents' relationship wasn't perfect, but I do know that they loved each other a whole lot. Grandpa was heartbroken when she died. We all were. T__T
I noticed your grandma was older than your grandpa. Now that was a little uncommon for those days. They look like they were a very sweet couple. R.I.P. <3
It's all good. My grandfather went into the nursing home first because he broke his hip and never really took to the rehabilitative therapy, so he lost his ability to walk, and we couldn't really life him.
When my grandmother first started getting sick, I lived with her for about a year, but eventually she started having pretty bad hallucinations and wouldn't eat, she'd lock herself in the bathroom and would flush her meds, eventually I couldn't leave the house at all and it just became to much for one person.
She was never like that before she got sick though, they were married about sixty years. We spent a ton of time with them when we were kids. They'd watch us after school. They were both awesome.

Wait, my math was WAY off, I was reading that entirely wrong, whoops. I'm a retard, so disregard my last sentence, XD!!!
Neither of my gps went into a home. They had my aunt to take care of them. I guess they were lucky in that respect.
