(no subject)
It seems to have been a while. I almost never come on here anymore. Oh well. these things seem to go in waves anyway if you look at my posting history.
Not much new at work. I make stuff. some of it's pretty cool. Some of it's pretty mundane. But today all I did was watch Druken hammer a piece of driftwood with a sledgehammer and go to the gym. So that should tell you all something about how busy we are.
Got a new boss a couple weeks ago. He's insufferable and I hold more sway around the boat shed than he does. It's quite sad really. Mostly because the amount of sway I hold is pretty miniscule. Though I have the advantage of having social skills.
Sherrie (of the drunk tofino fiasco) and I are magically on speaking terms again. Not sure how that happened but... whatever. Her, Darren, and I got dinner the other day. It seems she's planning on getting married to a dude who's never around because he works in mexico 90% of the time and popping out a kid so she'll "never be alone". Which.... will definitely end well. Definitely o_O
oh and I'm expected to be a bridesmaid.
yup.
anyways. Things are good with Darren. He starts school soon and has been out and about LARPing a lot, which at least keeps him busy while he waits for classes to begin. We are constantly tweaking the organization of our half of the basement. I have managed to cull over half of my wardrobe and most of the paper crap I've been hanging onto for god knows what reason. he didn't have much to begin with. so yeah. life continues. and it lacks turmoil, which is pretty nice.
No word on my VR yet either. color me soooooooooooo surprised. seriously this outfit is laughable in it's adherence to what they like to call tradition, but is really the kind of micromanaging that is kind of lost on a generation with (at the very least) a high school education. Not that my grammar in the previous sentence reflects that.
Well. that's it for me. I shall resume slogging through supernatural at an alarming rate.
