blue is a weird color
So-- I got back from Haiti like three weeks ago and it the best week ever. I seriously can't wait to go back. I got to do so many amazing things. Like go overseas for the first time, eat goat, touch a terranchilla, eat a fish eye(yummy), swim with some little naked boys, etc. It was mucho fun. The kids there were so cute. I ecspecially got close w/ these two little kids named Weedglynn(5) and Stevenson(8)-- they were the best part of being at our work site. When we got done building the roof on the church it was time for us to go but first we had a "closing ceremony" type deal. I wasn't really paying attention the entire time though because this little girl ran up to me wanting me to hold her. She was adorable. Broken sandals, no pants, a oversized blue shirt, single baret in her hair, and the biggest grin. She held on to me really tight. Then it all kinda hit me. Over here in America kids are being raised as selfish little brats-- yet in the meantime the little girl I was holding as well as every other child there would grow up with absolutely nothing. Haitians are so incredibly unselfish and thankful for everything yet people here treat them as nothing. God bless Haiti. Cause we're blessed enough as it is. It's up to us to share the blessing.
