Helloo again...
For those of you who have been wondering what the hell happened to me these past 4-5 days, I am coming down for a little while to update this and then I am going right back up to sleep! Okay here we go :
Thursday: Now I have been sleeping with my contacts in for the past 2 weeks, No I do not have the day/night wear contacts, yes I knew it was dangerous, No I didn't care... That night I looked in the mirror and noticed my right eye was disgustingly red so I took my contacts out for the first time in I don't even know how long , Went to sleep, crying I might add, because I figured it had to be something serious...
Friday: Woke up, it was still very red, wasn't that worried anymore, left my contacts out and went to school ... Everyone thought it was pink eye, I knew it wasn't ... (( BIG BIG THANK YOU TO KEVIN SHEA ! )) in art class, to reassure Kevin that it wasn't pink eye I went down to the nurse to have her take a look, she thought it mightve been a scratched cornea ( something not so serious, but still semi serious) so she called my mom and told her I needed to see a doctor...now I was already leaving school at 12 because we were going away ...so the doctor was gonna interfere with those plans, but my mom made an appointment anyways ... mommy came, we went to the doctor in the cold hailing disgusting winter weather ..... saw Mrs. Meyer, she was funny, since her daughter gave me a concussion not to long ago she thought maybe Meaghan might have stuck her finger in my eye or something lolol (ilovecarrot!) my doctor kept calling me baby, somehow it was reassuring lol , um he thought I got something lodged in my eye and sent me to the Opthamologist so they could numb my eye and use a needle to remove it ( Scary =/ ) So I went there , waited in the waiting room which was a nice calming shade of pink, a lot of little kids were there but thats alright , then he took me in and looked at it and told me that it wasn't something lodged in my eye ... it was a very serious eye infection where if its not treated right away I could go blind in my right eye ... basically all my white blood cells were surrounding it and trying to kill it, but white blood cells release something (I forgot the name) while they fight it and that would kill my cornea ... he gave me a sample bottle of medication and I had to put it in my eye once every hour, yes we were no longer ganna go away now =/ He also dilated my eye and told me it was from sleeping with my contacts in , and that if the medication didn't work I would need to be hospitalized, and he also told me that he had someone in there not to long ago who almost lost his eye cause of this infection, so basically I was crying cause he was scaring the shit out of me, and I really didn't wanna go blind ... ( I cry a lot =/ ) But he did tell me it was a very good thing I was smart enough not to put my contacts in cause that wouldve made it a lot worse and its a really good thing kevin made me see the nurse who made me see a doctor who made me see him cause if I had gone away, I mightve been considered legally blind in that eye by Monday ! =O
Saturday: Yep so I had another appointment with him today and he said it did look like things were improving (thank you god!) so he switched the med to every four hours instead of every hour. He said I wouldn't be wearing contacts so I should get myself a good pair of glasses so I went to sears and bought these emo looking ones but I got opinions from like everyone in the store and me and this lady bonded and it was kinda funny so yeah I hope everyone will like them =] Oh the eye glass guy yelled at me too because the glasses I had with me then weren't in the best shape cause I NEVER use them and I just kept shrugging him off cause he was really wierd and mean cause he told my mom she should get the 2 year insurance on my new pair with the way I treated my glasses and my mom like yelled at him ( GO MOM) he was rude ... I got home and I started feeling very achy and weak and I knew I was getting sick ... I started feeling nauscious andd blehh! so that night I was coughing and my fever was 101 and my mom called the doctor to make sure this had nothing to do with my infection because if it did I might need to be hospitalized because that would mean my white blood cells were attacking my eye again (equals going blind ) but he said it shouldn't. ( Oh yeah , this was like at 11 pm, the doctor gave me his beeper # cause it was that "serious" =/ =/ )
Sunday: Still feeling like shit, didn't eat anything. Fever ran between 100 to 104. (104 is very dangerous to be at so I had ice packs all over me trying to get it down) Didn't sleep at all. Cried a lot cause I was so frustrated cause I was taking medication for my eye and like 5 medications to help my fever and sore throat.
Monday: Had another doctors appointment ... called to ask if I should still come because my fever was at 103.4. He said I had too, he took me before everyone else, cause he didn't want me getting any of the infants in there sick and he knew I really didn't wanna be there...said my eye was looking really good and now my medication is on for 4 times a day. Nighttime my fever was up to almost 105 , I was sweating, but I was shaking I felt so cold , parents didn't really know what to do, they gave me some fever medicine and piled blankets on me, but put an ice pack on my head and a cold wash cloth over my eyes ( cause my eyes were buring it was so bad). ( Worst night Ive ever had in my entire life)
Tuesday: Woke up, low grade fever, feeling MUCH better... highest fever today was 101...won't be going into school tomorrow, but most likely will be in on Thursday.
Yup so now you know...
Doesn't this new layout make you realllyyyyy miss summer? =/ I love summer!
Oh yeah and Monday I was really upset ( although I couldn't show it cause I was looking really pale and sickly) cause my grandma had to Wellington down ... i think I wouldve cried if I wasn't sick .. its ganna be really wierd going there now without him , so Im still really upset about that ...
