Accomplished

This morning, I had to be at the school so I could have my friend/coworker pin my dress to be hemmed. Then, since I was there, I decided to rearrange my classroom. I got so much organized, thrown away, cleaned up... it was a good day. Having all that done is nice because I won't feel the need to come back from Indiana early.  I can now spend 3 weeks there, enjoy my time, and not worry about work!

I did grab my new curriculum to look over.  We just switched my class to Shurley Grammar this last year, and now it's changing again! This time, it's going to encompass reading/spelling/language altogether.  I'm sure it'll be a good thing, but I'm just tired of having to learn a new curriculum every year. I think Social Studies is the only one that has not changed since I've been here, so I have that one memorized!

After arranging my room, I am so in love with the layout. Everyone who came by my room really liked it, too. That was good because I thrive on affirmation. :)

So here's the view from the hallway door.

My desk area is in the front of the room, with my cabinet and microwave tucked behind the games/book shelves.  The empty desk under the window on the right will eventually hold student computers, if I ever get any. I put the one I had in a "throw away" pile because it was a giant piece of crap.

I love my job. I love my boss. I love my coworkers. I love having summer off.  I'm a pretty lucky person.
